Job Creation

• Carl Domino has a proven record of creating jobs in both his personal business and in the Florida legislature. Domino worked along with Governor Jeb Bush and Sen. Jeff Atwater to bring the Scripps Research Institute to his State House District in South Florida, which has already created nearly 400 high-paying jobs for individuals, many of which are much-needed research scientists to help get Florida’s economy moving again.

Real Property Tax Relief

• Carl Domino’s leadership made the “Save Our Homes” tax savings “portable,” allowing homeowners to take their tax savings with them when they move. After a six-year fight to get “Portability” on the Constitution for Floridians, over 64% of Floridians embraced the concept. Even in a dismal real estate market, many Floridians are living in the home of their dreams because of Portability.
• Carl Domino passed an additional Constitutional Amendment that lets voters choose to help first-time home buyers save $1,500 or more on their property taxes.

Environment

• Carl Domino has emphasized the need for ensuring that our laws are enforced in the State of Florida regarding immigration. Individuals seeking citizenship should follow established and lawful procedures.

Education

• In order to improve Florida’s educational system, we must build on the significant improvements that Governor Jeb Bush’s education initiative set in motion, emphasizing standards and accountability within our schools and among our schoolteachers. By maintaining these standards of success and improvement, we encourage our children in schools to achieve to the best of their abilities.

Protecting Senior Citizens

• To Protect Florida’s senior citizens, Carl Domino passed legislation which reduced consumer fraud through better home inspections and mold remediation.
• Carl Domino fought to use modern technology to prevent unnecessary deaths of thousands by ending doctor/pharmacy shopping and black market prescription drug sales, while protecting the privacy of Floridians.

Health Care

• Obama’s Health Care Reform spells out unfunded mandates which will cost billions of dollars of state expenditures, money that the State of Florida doesn’t have.
